Stacie Fernandez
OTD, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Stacie is an Occupational Therapist who earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, with a minor in Wellness, from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2019, graduating summa cum laude. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OT) degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2024.
She started her professional journey by observing at the Audi L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital in Polytrauma, where she worked with Wounded Warriors and veterans. She also interned at an outpatient pediatric clinic, gaining further experience as a therapy technician and intake coordinator before attending OT school. During her level II fieldwork, she provided community- based home health pediatric care to a diverse population with various developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and sensory conditions.
In March 2025, she joined the Promise Center for Autism to further develop the clinic’s OT program. In her role, she conducts initial evaluations, creates and reviews treatment plans, provides play-based therapy, and collaborates with other disciplines, including ABA and Speech Therapy. She firmly believes that play is a child’s primary occupation and that incorporating their interests and motivators is key to helping them reach their fullest potential. She currently lives in the Hill Country, where she enjoys spending time with her family, fiancé, and English bulldog, Bill. She also loves staying active and is currently in her "running era," training to participate in the first-ever San Antonio Marathon in 2025!
