Ana Isabel Ortega is a dedicated clinician, intentional leader, and visionary entrepreneur who has spent her career creating spaces of connection, growth, and purpose for children, families, and professionals alike.

Ana’s journey began in 2009 as an ABA therapist, driven by a deep calling to make a difference. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2010 and completing her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University in 2012, she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and quickly gained experience across home, school, clinic, and community settings. Yet even with a growing résumé, Ana felt a pull to do things her own way rooted in authenticity and heart.

Ana has always led with her values. Her commitment to service, connection, compassion, and quality care informs everything she does, from hiring her team to shaping clinical programs and mentoring emerging professionals. She believes that when people feel supported and aligned, they’re empowered to become the best versions of themselves, whether they’re clients or clinicians.

Ana is deeply committed to culturally responsive and trauma-informed care. Her bilingual and bicultural background, shaped by her upbringing in Mexico, allows her to connect with families across diverse communities and reduce barriers to access.

Her approach to leadership is deeply intuitive, shaped by lived experiences, personal growth, and an enduring belief in the importance of mind-body-spirit wellness. She defines success not by numbers, but by alignment, living and leading in a way that is true to one’s values and creating impact that ripples outward through relationships.

In addition to her clinical leadership, Ana is an advisory board member for the Applied Behavior Analysis program at Texas A&M–San Antonio and serves on the communications committee for OMPAC (Organización Mexicana de Practicantes de Análisis Conductual Aplicado), promoting the ethical dissemination of ABA in Mexico. She is also a proud member of the Alamo City Behavior Analyst (ACBA) group, working to strengthen local networks and elevate care standards across the region.

Ana currently lives in San Antonio with her husband Héctor, their two daughters, and their cat. She finds joy in nature, audiobooks, and time spent with loved ones. Through every phase of her journey, Ana remains grounded in purpose, gratitude, and the power of meaningful connection and Promise Center continues to be a living reflection of those values.
