As with intensive therapy, extensive therapy utilizes evidence-based practices to increase functional skills such as communication, social, and behavioral, while reducing maladaptive behaviors. RBTs are experienced in delivering Naturalistic Environment Teaching (NET), Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT), Verbal Behavior (VB), and using a variety of augmented communication devices.
*Per the BACB guidelines, our extensive therapies meet the recommended intensity levels and focused treatment goals. Focused ABA generally ranges from 10-25 hours per week of direct treatment (plus direct and indirect supervision and caregiver training).
- Social Skills: This program is tailored for children from ages 6-12, with a focus on building appropriate peer interactions including responding and initiating with others, sharing and turn-taking, expanding social pragmatic language, problem solving, executive functioning, identifying emotional situations, and daily life skills. Each day involves a fun activity in which children work on a variety of these skills, including their own individualized goals from their treatment plan.
